James Jewell
James Edward Jewell, 84, of Woodville, died Monday, September 3, 2018, at Dowlen Oaks, Beaumont. He was born on April 12, 1934, to Verna Ann Walden Jewell and James L. Jewell, in Nashville, Arkansas. James retired after working at Texaco for forty years. He was an avid fisher and hunter who loved the casinos and traveling throughout Europe. He was a big fan of NASCAR and raced cars as a hobby.
Survivors include his son, John E. Jewell and his wife, Bambi, of Forney; sisters, Wilma Nelson of Searcy, Arkansas and Sarah Johnson and her husband, McNeil, of Wildwood; grandchildren, Megan and Caleb; and great-granddaughter, Blakely.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Delores Ann Heins Jewell and sisters, Sally Sherrod and Edna Mae King.
A family committal was held at Broussard’s Crematorium under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.
