James W. East
James W. East, 76, of Hamshire, died Monday, July 12, 2021. He was born on December 19, 1944, in West Columbia, Texas, to Margarete Auls East and Ellis Alexander East.
James retired from Dupont after thirty-one years of service in maintenance. He was a Worship Leader in church for many years and was very musically inclined. James also played the guitar and was very generous. He loved to give. James will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and PawPaw.
Survivors include his wife of forty-eight years, Linda East of Hamshire; sons, Jimmy East and wife, Tynell, of Winnie; Clint East and wife, Deb, of Hamshire; and Cody East and wife, Susan, of Anahuac; daughter, Angela McBride and husband, David, of Winnie; fifteen grandchildren; one great-grandson; and brother, Mark East and his wife, Pam, of Hamshire.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, David and Thomas East.
A gathering of Mr. East’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., with his funeral service at 6:30 p.m., Friday, July 16, 2021, at Broussard’s, 134 West Buccaneer Drive, Winnie. A private family committal will be held later at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.
Memorial contributions may be made in Mr. East’s memory to Cornerstone Church-Anahuac, P.O. Box 387, Winnie, Texas 77665.
