Jason Sonnier
Jason Clay Sonnier, 45, of Winnie, died Monday, December 3, 2018. He was born on November 27, 1973, to Connie Kimball and Vernon Sonnier, in Beaumont. He graduated from East Chambers High School in 1992 and enlisted into the United States Marine Corps. Jason was a peace officer at multiple parishes in Louisiana. He obtained his CDL license and was a Salesman at Winnie Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram.
Survivors include his girlfriend, Christy Duhon; son, Austin Sonnier, of Winnie; grandfather, Lilton Sonnier, of Winnie; dad, Vernon Sonnier and his wife, Linda, of Winnie; brothers, Shannon Kiker, James Kiker, Jeffery Sonnier, and Darrell Sonnier; sister, Karen Guidry; and numerous other family and friends.
A Rosary for Jason will be recited at 5:00 p.m., with a gathering of his family and friends to follow until 8:00 p.m., Friday, December 7, 2018, at Broussard’s, 134 West Buccaneer Drive, Winnie. His funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 8, 2018, at Broussard’s, with his interment to follow at Fairview Cemetery, Winnie.
The family requests that all attendees wear colors other than black clothing.
