Jessye Dyson
Jessye Dawn Dyson, 51, of Trinity, died Friday, January 26, 2018. She was born on July 15, 1966, to Carol Easley Shepherd and Billy Shepherd, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Jessye was a 1984 graduate of South Park High School and began her career in welding in 1996. She was president of the Sabine Chapter of American Welding Society and served on the board of the Lamar Institute Welding Department.
Survivors include her husband, Donald Dyson of Trinity; daughters, Loretta King and her husband, Dwight, and Jessica Harris and her husband, Elijah Galaviz, all of Vidor; sons, Joe Dyson and his wife, Alician, of Vidor; Dayle Gilchriest, Jr. and his wife, Rochelle, of Onalaska; and Michael Gilchriest and his wife, Sabrina, of Trinity; and daughters, Sarah Dyson of Trinity and Paige West and her husband, Erik Hutto, of Magnolia; siblings, Billy Shepherd, Jr. of Houston; Joan Robertson and her husband, Terry, of Porter, Oklahoma; Nancy King of Honey Island; Carol Fregia and her husband, Richard, of Honey Island; and Jerry Shepherd and her husband, Tanya, of Buna; grandchildren, Haley King, Brendan King, Hannah King, Raven Galaviz, Sierra Galaviz, Danica Smith, Dakota Smith, Aidan Dyson, Mason Dyson, Elizabeth Kerr, Kaydince Kerr, Autumn Gilchriest, Carson Christopher, Bailei Gilchriest, Myra Self, Makinzie Young, Madison Young, Bryer West, and Wilder Hutto.
She is preceded in death by her mother Carol Sue Easley Shepherd.
A gathering of Mrs. Dyson’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Saturday, February 3, 2018, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. Her funeral service will be at 9:30 a.m., Sunday, February 4, 2018, at Broussard’s. A family committal will be held at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.
Memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children, Attn: Office of Development, 2900 North Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, Florida 33607.

I first met Jessye in 2001, Jessye was an excellent Inspector with many quality values and determination to get the job done right. She was tough - welders behaved or else....Jessye was a big asset to our Quality group and we all will greatly miss her. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Family. God Bless You All.
