Jo Ann Hearne

Jo Ann Hearne, 80, of Nederland, died Tuesday, May 29, 2018. She was born on May 7, 1938, in Beaumont, to Carrie Lou Townsend Sherman and J.C. Sherman.

Survivors include her husband of sixty-one years, Larry Hearne of Nederland; children, Steve Hearne and his wife, Ginger, of Floresville and Vicki Westbrook and her husband, Phil, of Nederland; grandchildren, Adam Westbrook and his wife, Johnna; Alex Westbrook and his wife, Kellie; Andrew Westbrook and his wife, Kristal; Tanner Hearne; and Ryan Winn and his wife, Tabitha; great-grandchildren, Brink, Summer, Claire, and Garrett Westbrook. She is preceded in death by her parents.

A special thank you to Jo Ann’s wonderful caregivers, Courtney Cormier, Aimee Jacobs and Inda Corona. Their devotion and compassionate care is greatly appreciated by the family.

 

A gathering of Mrs. Hearne’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Friday, June 1, 2018, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. Her funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 2, 2018, at Broussard’s, with her interment following at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Groves.

Memorial contributions may be made in Mrs. Hearne’s memory to First United Methodist Church, 104 13th Street, Nederland, Texas 77627.
