Jo Ann Hutsell

JoAnn Hutsell, 79, of Port Neches, passed away Wednesday, March 18, 2020. She was born in Port Neches to Gladys and Dalton Trahan. She was a daycare teacher for twenty years at First Baptist Church, Nederland. She also volunteered for seventeen years at The Salvation Army Mission in Hemphill.

Those left to cherish her memories are her daughter, Belinda Mitchell and her husband, Kenny; son, Ricky Hutsell and Melinda Garcia and Kirk Hutsell; sister, Sharon Trahan; grandchildren, Jolyn Mitchell, Angelica Mitchell, and Kelton Hutsell; great-grandchildren, Kinsley Williams and Karis Williams; and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband of sixty years, Ricky Hutsell; parents; brother, Ronnie Trahan; and many other loved ones.

She will be missed by many. She loved with all her heart. She was a child of God and gave her heart to the Lord when she was a child.

A gathering of Mrs. Hutsell’s family and friends will be from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m., with a limited amount of people at a time, Sunday, March 22, 2020, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. A private funeral service will be Monday, March 23, 2020, with her private interment to follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches.
