John Press Casto, Jr., 83, of Nederland, died Monday, November 20, 2017. He was born on September 14, 1934, in Bridgeport, West Virginia, to Blanche Ann Roush Casto and John P. Casto, Sr.

Survivors include his sons, Steve Casto and his wife, Donna, of Baton Rouge; Mike Casto and his wife, Mary, of Coweta, Oklahoma; and Mark Casto of Nederland; grandchildren, Cody Casto and his fiancé, Lexie Wildey; Ryan Casto and his wife, Charlie; Jessica Casto and her fiance’, Jamie Moses; Amy Casto Roberson and her husband, Blake; Brandi Casto; and Emily Casto; great-grandchildren, Katelyn Casto; Seth Nezat; Bailey Casto; Jacob Casto; Kaleb Casto; Lela Casto; Macy Casto; Landry Casto; Noah Roberson; Finley Roberson; Nora Roberson; Brady Casto; and Chloe Casto.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Ruby Mae Casto; siblings, Albert Casto, Alvie Casto, Paul Casto, Oscar Casto, Lewis Casto, and Betty Hebb; and grandson, Cory Casto.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1893, Memphis, Tennessee 38101 or Folds of Honor, 8551 North 125th East Avenue, Suite 100, Owasso, Oklahoma 74055.

A gathering of Mr. Casto’s family and friends will begin at 11:00 a.m., with his funeral service to follow at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, November 25, 2017, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. His interment will follow at Memory Gardens of Jefferson County, Nederland.
