Jose Gonzales, Jr.

Jose “Tony” Gonzales, Jr., 57, of Nederland, died Thursday, May 30, 2019. He was born on September 11, 1961, in Mercedes, to Catalina Mendez Gonzales and Jose Antonio Gonzales, Sr.

He was a hardworking man and worked with various industrial companies. He enjoyed giving back to his community. Jose enjoyed working with his hands and was talented in making belt buckles.

Survivors include his father, Jose Antonio Gonzales, Sr.; wife, Eileena Gonzales; step-daughters, Amanda Stark and Laura Poff; step-son, Joshua Bordwell; grandkids, Tyler Pickering; Haleigh, Andrew, and Allie Stark; and Noak and Aiden Bordwell; brother, David Gonzales; sister, Janie Gonzales; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Catalina Gonzales; and sister, Cynthia Gonzales.

His committal will be held by Broussard’s Crematorium, under the direction of Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland.
