Joseph James “J.J.” Crosby
Joseph James “J.J.” Crosby, 16, of Kountze, died Wednesday, August 9, 2017. He was born on August 9, 2001, in Beaumont, to Sheree Diana Usher and Joseph Daniel Crosby.
Survivors include his parents, Sheree and Danny Crosby; brother, Samuel “Sam” Crosby; grandparents, Jody Crosby and his wife, Sandy and Gerald Garcia and his wife, Dianne; uncles, Jamey Crosby and Donald Usher; aunt, Alison; great-grandparents, Vaudine “Nana” Daniel and Mary Laminack; best friend, Wilson Prejean and Claire McEachern; cousins, Ben, Noah, and Dominic Crosby; his cherished friends of the Police Explorer Group of Beaumont Post 730; and countless others who he touched and who touched him.
Joseph is preceded in death by his great-grandfathers, George “Paw Paw” Daniel, Sr and Charles Laminack; and Debbie J Laminack and Mindy Davidson.
A gathering of J.J.’s family and friends will be from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., Sunday, August 13, 2017, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee. His funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, August 14, 2017, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee, with his interment to follow at Daniel’s Cemetery, Kountze.

I went to school with J.J. And I'm glad I got to become his friend. He may have been shy and quiet but once you got to know him he was a nice and caring young man. I will really miss him. I am glad to call him my friend. I wish I would have gotten to know him so much better then what I did. He such an amazing and sweet young man.

JJ was one of my closet friends when I went to warren, I never knew him as mean or unkind to anyone he always had a smile on his face and he always made the best out of everything. He was honestly such a good friend and he will be missed.

I went to school with JJ and I am so very grateful that I got to be a friend. JJ was so kind to me and everybody he knew and always kept a smile on his face. Everyone in one act considered eachother family and I am very grateful that I was able to be a part of that family and have someone like JJ there to brighten the mood. He was such an amazing classmate and I will miss him dearly.
