Josh Miller

Josh Miller, 33, of Nederland, died Wednesday, May 29, 2019. He was born October 11, 1985, in Nederland, to Karen Lynn Balitzky Miller and David “Smokey” Miller.

Josh graduated from Nederland in 2004. With his strong work ethic, he became a journeyman iron worker with Local 135 out of Texas City. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and working out at Exygon and loved to journal in his spare time.

Survivors include his mother, Karen Miller; father, David “Smokey” Miller and his wife, Lacey; daughters, Braylee and Kimry Miller; step-sister, Claudia Vogt; step-brothers, Cody Vogt and his wife, Caitlin and Clint Vogt and his wife, Kelsey; aunt, Lisa Miller and her husband, Charlie Chase; maternal grandmother, Juliette Dies; and numerous cousins.

He is preceded in death by his brother, David Gerald Miller; maternal grandfather, Gerald Balitzky; paternal grandparents, Aimee and J.R. Miller; aunts, Gail “Gig” Guidry and Pam Coleman; and uncle John Miller.

A gathering of Josh’s family and friends will be from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with a Rosary recited at 5:00 p.m., Sunday, June 2, 2019, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. His funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, June 3, 2019, at Broussard’s, Nederland, with her interment to follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches.

    I am so very sorry for the loss of your darling son, Josh. I remember when he and David were little boys at church with Smokey. I am praying for you Smokey. May God comfort you til we are together with our loved ones.

    I'm so sorry for all Josh's family, he was very loved, and will be missed dearly, Josh was always a loyal friend one of the best people I will ever know, now he is with his brother, and rest of his family in heaven, rest easy buddie, I'll never forget u weasel.
