Juanita Kemp

Juanita Joyce “Tookie” Kemp, 84, of Winnie, died Saturday, August 24, 2019. She was born on September 25, 1934, to Buelah Ashworth and Thomas Jefferson Williams, in Baytown. Juanita was a chief operator for South Western Bell. She enjoyed animals, shopping, dancing, traveling, and gathering with her family and friends. Juanita was a giving person, supported many charities, and had very strong political views.

Survivors include her husband, Edmund “Ed” Hann; granddaughter, Brandi Briere and her fiancé, David Spaulding; and brother, Hershel Williams and his wife, Judy, all of Winnie; her beloved pets, “FiFi” and “Calie”; and numerous other in-laws, nieces, and nephews.

A gathering of Mrs. Kemp’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 28, 2019, at Broussard’s, 134 West Buccaneer Drive, Winnie. Her funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, August 29, 2019, at Broussard’s, Winnie, with her interment to follow at 2:00 p.m., at Cooks Cemetery, 1906 Lakeland Drive, Liberty.

I knew Ms Tookie as long as I can remember. She lived behind us in Liberty, her, Mr Joe, and booger the dog. I loved them and miss them all so much.
