Juanita Nallie

Juanita Marie Nallie, 86, of Beaumont, died Saturday, January 6, 2018, at Christus Hospital-St. Elizabeth, Beaumont. She was born on March 21, 1931, to Martha Broussard Menard and Lallace Menard, in Beaumont. Juanita was a member of the Red Hatters and an avid volunteer in the community for a lifetime.

Survivors include her daughters, Sammie Lawless and Diane Nallie, both of Beaumont; son, Robert Nallie and his wife, Brenda Rost, of Groves; sister, Helen Walker of Port Arthur; grandchildren, Michael Baker and his wife, Monique; Carrie Hunt and her husband, Newly; David Welch and her husband, Janell; Danny Welch and his wife, Tiffany; Angela Halpin and her husband, Chris; David Nallie; Ronda Lahood and her husband, Randall; and Amanda Romero; and nine great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Pete Nallie, Sr.; daughter, Carolyn Baker; son, Pete Nallie, Jr.; and brothers, James Menard and Lee Menard.

A gathering of Mrs. Nallie’s family and friends will begin at 1:00 p.m., with her funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 11, 2018, at Broussard’s, 1605 Major Drive, Beaumont. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.
