I used to spend alot of time at his house with Haleigh growing up. Once I had gotten his cat so wound up and excited, he told me I broke his cat. Loved hanging out over there, I thought of him as a father figure. He will be missed by many. Sending love to you Haleigh and His wife Joelle. May he rest in peace now.

Kent was such a great man and will be dearly missed. Glad he is no longer suffering but now we are left with sadness since his passing. He was a great friend and father figure to my husband Dane. Always said he loved him when they would hang up the phone with each other. Dane used to love hanging out with him met him through Sour Lake PD. He would hangout with Kent and i remember they would feed Kent’s dog candy corn. Dane will surely miss hearing from him, he was a very special person in his life. Condolences to his family and friends what a huge loss.

Many of my childhood memories involve the Walker family (as my dad ran Burt's Ceilings) and Kent is a big part of those memories. Rest in peace

Throughout high school and beyond, Kent was my protector. He was stern but fair. He encouraged me to go into the military when I was at my wits end. Several years ago my wife and I had visited him and it was like we just talked the day before. Kent will be solely missed and I send prayers. Of peace and understanding in the time of sorrow..

My brothers and sister and I, growing up, spent a lot of time with Kent and Ernie. Kent taught us a lot of fun things, like how to shoot a gun, how to drive a tractor, how to build a deck, and how to re-seal the roof of a trailer with tar. He'd take us around with him like we were his adopted niece and nephews. He spent a lot of time talking to us about whatever problems or issues seemed of paramount importance to young teenagers, and taught us what it meant to be a good person, to make good choices, and how to make the best of whatever life throws at you. He’s one of the kindest, funniest, and most charitable people I’ve ever met. I feel lucky to have known him.

Joelle ,Haleigh and family I want you to know how sorry I am I know your hearts are broken. I have so many memories of Kent. We spent many hours at Kent’s house shooting pistols or just having dinner. A few times I even cooked. I am always so proud when I tell people I sometimes work for a Judge Walker. He was one person I knew I could ask for advise and he would give me a straight answer. Even though I had not seen him much in the last few years I can honestly say he was one of my favorite people. I loved his stories. He could tell a GREAT story. RIP Judge Walker know you were a great man and a good friend.

Kent was a long time co-worker and friend. He will be missed. He was my training officer at the sheriff's office before he became a judge. We worked a lot of scenes together after he became a judge. He taught me a lot. Rest in peace my friend.

I was stunned to see that Kent passed on the same day as Ernie! I was reading Ernie's obituary, and saw where it said he was preceded in death by Kent, then to find it was on the same day. I can't imagine the feelings of grief, and loss that all the family members are feeling. I am praying for God to help soothe your pain with His healing mercy. it is such a moving thing to see the family pictures on the memorial for Kent. I remember running the old neighborhood in South Park with Kent, and our friends, as kids. I recall the camping trips, and other activities with the Scout troop, #205. That grin on Kent's face takes me right back because he was always laughing, smiling, and joking around! I am so sorry I missed his service, and I regret not going to see him in these later years. I know he is celebrating a reunion with Mr. Burt, Ms. Billie, and his brother, and Sister in the presence of our Lord, Jesus Christ!
