Mr. Ronnie was like a second daddy to me. He was my daddy's best friend for life. Sometimes he was my conscience. The stories of their lives will reign in my mind and my heart forever. My heart is broken, but I know he will meet with Daddy soon, and man that will be a homecoming!!!!!!!!!

It was a privilege to know Judge Walker and to have covered him in the Beaumont Enterprise. He was outstanding as a judge, public servant and politician. And his sense of humor was just right. He could singe, but he never burned. I am better for having known him. Rest in peace.

Mr. Walker was like a Dad to me growing up and had as much of an influence on the man I am today, as my own. A great deal of my childhood is filled with memories of him, Layne and Glynn. There was never a dull moment with any of them - whether at the house, deer lease, fishing or beach house. So many great memories. It was through Mr. Walker that I gained my second family - Stephen, Dan, Martha and Wendy Hallmark. Glynn and Layne, my thoughts and prayers are with you.

We have been long time family friends. My grandpa's worked for Ted Walker.. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. RIP JUDGE..

Mitchell A Toups

Judge Walker was one of the finest lawyers that I have known in my 36 years of practicing law. As a man, his word was his bond and as a Judge he truly had empathy for all parties to a dispute. He was kind and clever in helping resolve disputes among lawyers and parties and every time I left his Court room, whether it was in trial or at the Court of Appeals ,I felt that I was treated with respect and that the tribunal had integrity at the highest level. Judge Walker was also a good friend and mentor to many of us as we started our law careers. His quick wit and humor was always there, no matter how serious a situation and his kindness and public service will never be forgotten. Judge, I hope you find the hunting season in Heaven is as good as you found here in Texas.. In God's speed, Mitch

Judge Earl Stover III

I remember fondly my Dad’’s “Smokey” stories about the happy times he spent on the Ninth Court of Appeals with Chief Justice Walker and Justice Don Burgess. My condolences to the Walker family.

Glen Crocker

My first memory of Judge was when he would be at the ball park watching , coaching Glynn and Layne play baseball alongside my brother .. Twenty five years later as a young lawyer Judge Walker was patient kind and instructive to me ..Seems as much as some things change others do.not . May your family be a peace knowing that they shared the presence of a great man

Paige Brown

Judge Walker married my late husband Ky and I. We both thought very highly of him. I pray for comfort and peace for the families. God Bless you.

My thoughts, prayers, and sympathies are with all the family. God's peace and blessings be with all of you. Judge Walker was fine and good man. He cared about all the people. What a wonderful and great pleasure to have known him and worked with him.

Ronnie was one of my grandmother's (Mary Ann Wills Welty) lifelong best friends. Growing up, I would tag along with her to her South Park Greenie events and Ronnie was always there, commanding the attention of the room with a killer smile and wonderful tales. I never really knew how important he was until I got older. I just saw him, as a compassionate, kind and hilarious family friend. When my grandmother passed away, Ronnie shared the task with me of giving her Eulogy. We both had tears in our eyes that day, yet he really gave me the strength to get through that moment. The story he shared was full of laughter dashed with a tad bit of inappropriateness and pulled off in a way that only he could do. (You Greenies probably know the story I am talking about involving Ronnie & my grandma trying to sneak into a drive-in movie theater in the trunk of a friend's car and the hilarity that ensued) A few months later, my husband and I wanted to get married. I explained to Ronnie how sad I was that my grandmother wouldn't be there. And he said, "She can be." So he offered to marry us, and did so in his living room. We put my grandmother's picture on his coffee table, he gave my husband a good stern talking to, and then we proceeded forward with the nuptials. Once again, Ronnie turned a sad moment for me into another wonderful memory. He had a special gift for doing just that and he will be sorely missed. Thank you for being a blessing my life Ronnie Walker. I hope my grandmother, Bennie Marie, and the rest of the squad met you in heaven full of smiles and laughter.

Patty Cash Taylor

Ronny was a fine Christian man and loved the Lord.

Angela Downs Chesnutt

Praying for the family of Judge Walker. Peace be with you.

Don Marshall

The Judge Walker part doesn't fit for me.. Ronnie was a friend at South Park and Lamar.. He had a huge following both places where he was the center of a whole lot of fun. Oh, yes he did have a serious side and from time to time he tried to tell me or even write to me about doing right. I am so glad that we continued to visit now and then until recently... He cared about me and I cared about him. Farewell Ronnie and I hope that you lived long enough to forgive me for getting your Mom';s new Chevy stuck in the mud.. , Don
