Karl Douglas Blackwell

October 5, 1957 - July 23, 2021

Karl Douglas Blackwell, 63, of Warren, died Friday, July 23, 2021. He was born October 5, 1957, in Beaumont, to Doris Biddle Blackwell and Adolph Blackwell. Karl retired from ExxonMobil as a project manager after over thirty years of employment. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and cooking for others while entertaining.

He is survived by his wife of twenty-one years, Sherry Blackwell; daughters, Jessica Harrell and her husband, Aaron, of Port Neches; Michelle Blackwell of Beaumont; and Leigh Ann Coleman of Hillister; six grandchildren; mother, Doris Biddle Blackwell of Beaumont; sister, Ruth Newton and her husband, Alvin, of Beaumont; and brother, Brian Blackwell and his wife, Amy, of Batson.

He is preceded in death by his father; and his son, Dustin Blackwell.

A gathering of Mr. Blackwell’s family and friends will begin 10:00 a.m., with his funeral service at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 27, 2021, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee. His interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont. The family asks for anyone that has not been vaccinated to please wear a mask during Mr. Blackwell’s gathering and service.
