Katherine Shimek

Katherine Owen (Black) Shimek was brought into this world on August 20, 1920 and was ushered out a century later on January 4, 2020. Preceding her in death are her husband of 66 years, Spud (C.R.) Shimek; sons, Roy, Larry, and David and his wife, Lynda Shimek; brothers, James and Ernie Black; and grandchildren Ben Shimek and Katie Shimek.

Nanny’s legacy continues on in daughter, Linda; daughters-in-law, Pat Shimek and Gwen Shimek; grandchildren Stephanie Shimek, Will Shimek (and wife Deanna), Heather Rudd (and husband Marcus), and Mike Shimek; great-grandchildren, Brooke Womack (and husband Seth), Blake and Brea Shimek, and Calder and Samantha Rudd; and great-great- grandchild, Emma Womack.

A small gathering of family will take place at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 7, 2020, at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, 4955 Pine Street, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.
