She worked at Baptist Hospital, Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth in the Emergency Room, and for the Orange Police Department. Kim worked with the Beaumont Police Department for twenty-eight years as a Patrol Officer-which she loved, and later being promoted to Detective Specialist in the Criminal Family Violence Unit. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, Beaumont.

Kim is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Kathy and Darrel Harris, of Kountze; niece, Amanda Rice and her husband, Johnny; nephew, Christopher Malone, of Deer Park; great-nephews, Hayden, Grayson, and Weston; and her great-niece, Halie, who affectionately called her “Pippy”; aunt, Margie Watkins, of Beaumont; a host of cousins and friends; her sweet four legged babies: Birdie, Bindi Renee, Dakota Rose, and Clementine; and all her brothers and sister in Blue at BPD.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Anna and Billy Seago; grandparents, Polly and Ersa Mosteit and Allie and John Seago.

Kim loved to golf and made 2 holes in one. She loved the beach and spending time with her family and friends.

Kim’s life dramatically changed in 2003 when introduced to the Fellowship. She had her own personal Angel (Donna) for five years and that relationship meant everything to her. The women of the Fellowship provided love, encouragement, and support- a special thanks to Lori H., Lisa Q., Laniece S., Ruthie S., and Danae G. Also, thank you to the women of BPD who were always there for Kim; and to Robi and Glen.
