Krystal Slott
Krystal “GiGi” Gayle Slott, 46, of Nederland, died Saturday, February 29, 2020, at the Medical Center of Southeast Texas, Port Arthur. She was born on June 24, 1973, in Beaumont, to Linda Faye Stephenson Kuritz and Rudolph Karl Kuritz.
Krystal was a proud “GiGi” who adored her grandkids and loved spending every hour of the day with each one of them. She loved her little shadow, Ducky. The two of them followed each other around the house spending countless hours in each other’s company, solving the world’s problems one at a time. She had a great love for the outdoors. She would sit outside for hours watching the cars go by, making comments about each one she saw. Krystal loved standing ankle deep in the lake perch fishing and sitting lakeside by a campfire with friends and family nearby. Cooking was her passion and she would gladly prepare any number of requests for meals, except the constant petition for her homemade potato salad. Above all else, she treasured her family and friends and the time spent with them.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Slott, of Nederland; stepmother, Kathleen Allen, of Port Neches; children, Cody Slott and his wife, Courtney, of Livingston; Chance Montgomery and his wife, Meagan, of Sulphur, Louisiana; Lacy Montgomery and her partner, Tommy, of Pinehurst; Cane Slott, of Mulberry, Arkansas; Kassie Zak and her husband, Jay, of Port Neches; and Dustin Montgomery and his partner, Diamond, of Rock Springs, Wyoming; grandchildren, Kayden; Braylin; Jaelyn; Rylan; Penelope; and Addy; grandchild on the way, Merlin; brothers, Rusty Crawford and his wife, Donna, of Buna and Timothy Allen, of Port Neches; sister, Lisa Phelps and her husband, Jimmy, of Spurger; and numerous nieces, nephews, and many close friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents and biological father, John Allen.
