Kyle Rayburn

January 26, 1960 - August 9, 2019

William Kyle Rayburn went to the great fishing lake in the sky on August 9, 2019, surrounded by his family. Kyle was born on January 26, 1960, to William Noel and Barbara Rayburn, in Beaumont, Texas. He graduated from Hamshire Fannett in 1978 and went on to pursue a degree in Instrumentation at Lamar Institute of Technology.

Kyle was a lifelong resident of the Southeast Texas area and his credo was serving others and his community. He had a passion for construction and remodeling houses. He was a self-employed contractor for over 25 years and no job was too big or too small for Kyle. He served on the Winnie-Stowell Fire Department, Boy Scouts of America and East Chambers Ag Youth Committee. He was a proud coach of Little League and loved watching his players grow in the sport. Kyle has proudly served as a member of the East Chambers ISD Board of Trustees for the past 6 years. He played an instrumental role in founding the East Chambers Bass Club. Kyle was an active member of the Saint Louis Catholic Church.

It was apparent that Kyle had a love for the outdoors. He loved hunting and fishing with his children and grandchildren. His place of peace was Lake Sam Rayburn. He enjoyed spending holidays and weekends there with his family and friends. Kyle was always looking forward to spending time out on the water in his beloved Skeeter Bass Boat.

Above all, Kyle loved his family. He is survived by his wife, Annette Hale Rayburn; son, Jay Rayburn and his wife, Morgan, of Winnie; daughter, Lana Nelius and her husband, Russell, of Winnie; grandsons, Case and Eli Rayburn; mother, Barbara Rayburn of Lake Jackson; sisters, Janice Constantine and her husband, Joe, of Lake Jackson and Gwen Abshire of Clear Lake; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Kyle is preceded in death by his father, William Noel Rayburn; sister, Traci Rayburn Hampton; mother-in-law, Eunice Hale Kotz; and fathers-in-law, J.E. Hale and Marlin Kotz.

A Rosary for Mr. Rayburn will be recited at 5:00 p.m., with his gathering to follow until 8:00 p.m., Monday, August 12, 2019, at Broussard’s, 134 West Buccaneer Drive, Winnie. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 13, 2019, at St. Louis Catholic Church, 315 West Buccaneer Drive, Winnie, with his interment to follow at Fairview Cemetery, Winnie.

Kyle always found the good in every person and every situation. In honor of him, we ask that you spread random acts of kindness to all. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the East Chambers Bass Club, 234 East Buccaneer Drive, Winnie, Texas 77665.
