Lawrence Marshall

Lawrence Marshall, 76, of Sour Lake, died Sunday, March 1, 2020. He was born on December 6, 1943, in Eunice, Louisiana, to Ella Pitre.

Survivors include his wife, Vicki Marshall; children, Sharon Renee Altamirano and her husband, Rey, of Beaumont; Lawrence Marshall, Jr.; Nickole Marshall and his wife, Nicole, all of Beaumont; Mary Marshall Fontenot and her husband, Herman, of China; Jerome Marshall of Austin; Delicia Guidry and her husband, Jamathan, of Beaumont; Dana Jones of China; Jefferey Marshall of Wichita, Kansas; Stacy Brush and her husband, Anthony, of Beaumont; Lauren Ramirez and her husband, Ruben, of Sour Lake; Tara Marshall and her husband, Zane, of Bevil Oaks; and Shanna Marshall of Sour Lake; brothers, Lionel Briggs, Jr. and Gary Briggs; sister, Dorothy Williams; twenty-six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Lawrence is preceded in death by his parents; son, Elgin Lavergne; and brother-in-law, Wendell East.

A gathering of Mr. Marshall’s family and friends will begin at 9:00 a.m., with his funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 7, 2020, at Triumph Church, 10255 Eastex Freeway, Beaumont. His interment will follow at Haven of Rest Cemetery, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.
