Lee Carl Worley

October 28, 1973 - August 16, 2020

Lee Carl Worley, 46, of Beaumont, died Sunday, August 16, 2020. He was born on October 28, 1973, in Beaumont, to Eloise Ann Mathews Worley and Richard Glen Worley.

Lee was raised in Silsbee, Texas. All of his siblings know that his mother always said, “Lee was the best baby.” He was so well natured and would entertain himself, even as an infant lying in his crib. He graduated from Silsbee High School in 1992. He served a two-year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Los Angeles, California from 1992-1994. He married Kelli Larsen in 2003 and together they have five beautiful daughters. Lee was a dedicated employee of Conn’s from 2001-2012. In 2013 he joined Rexel and became a valued member of their close-knit team.

Lee’s sense of humor is legendary. Everyone who knew him has a story to share of his hilarious antics. He filled our lives with laughter. Besides his quick wit, many benefited from his quieter qualities such as dependability, thoughtfulness, and care and concern for others. Many wonderful qualities are part of Lee’s character due to the careful teaching and example of his parents.   He has always appreciated their love and wisdom.

Lee is the most loyal friend and has many long standing and lifelong friendships as a result. His loyalty extended to Pearl Jam and the Astros. He was an ardent fan of both. Last year while visiting Seattle with Kelli he had a chance meeting with Eddie Vedder, which was a dream come true for him. Lee loved to cook. His favorite foods to make were gumbo and cheese enchiladas. He believed you could never feel sad or worried while listening to Tejano music.

Above all Lee was a family man and his family meant everything to him. He was completely devoted to Kelli and their girls. Kelli will never forget the day she met Lee in 2001. He immediately won her over with his smile, kindness and respect. They fell in love quickly and were hardly ever apart since then. Their love for each other will sustain her until she sees him again and they will be together forever. Their love is eternal. One of their favorite things to do was to go out to eat with other couples on their weekly date nights. Lee enjoyed sharing his love of music, cooking, and shopping with his daughters. Some of his favorite times were spent traveling with them to watch high school football and basketball games to support family and his alma mater. They have made many wonderful memories together. It was most important to Lee to attend church each week with his family. He demonstrated his fervent testimony as he served faithfully and continuously in various church assignments.

Sunday afternoons were set aside as cherished time at his parents’ home with siblings and extended family. Lee was fortunate to be able to spend time with each of his siblings during the last week of his life. He was surrounded by many of his family members in the hours before his passing which is just as he would wish. His in-laws, the Larsen family, adored Lee and treasure the time they spent together. They thought his sense of humor made each vacation, holiday and get together much more fun. They will never forget the family reunion he brought stink bombs!

Lee’s faith and humility allowed him to count his blessings even during his most difficult challenges. He was brave and strong as he battled cancer. He filled our eyes with tears of laughter while he was here and now, we are smiling through our tears as we remember him. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Survivors include his wife, Kelli Larsen Worley; children, Sylvia, Clara, Elise, Opal, and Cami; parents, “Angel” Eloise and Richard Worley of Silsbee; siblings, Kyle Worley and his wife, Pam, of Beaumont; Jill Bebee and her husband, Brian and Glen Worley and his wife, Jana, all of Silsbee; Paul Worley and his wife, Bethany, of Beaumont; and Joy Smith and her husband, Danny, of Wimberley; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Words cannot truly express how you feel about the loss of a love one, especially at such a young age. What I can say though, is for the family to lean on each other and think about the good times that Lee had with his family and friends while here with us. To the family, we express our love and support during this period.

Thinking of you all in your time of loss. It is with deepest sympathy that we mourn the loss of such a fine friend, classmate, father, brother, son, and grandson. Lee will forever live on in our hearts with the happiest memories. He was always kind to everyone and always smiling and laughing. A prankster at times, but so fun to be around, never a dull moment. I am honored to have had the opportunity to go through Silsbee for all my years with him. These families are a fine example of what true christians and loving people should be. My sincere condolences to you all from all of my family.

Lee was an amazing person whom I grew to admire during our tenure together at Conn's. He was dedicated to his job and family. He always give 100% at everything he touched. To a great person, my condolences to the family.

Stephanie Barry

When I think of Lee I think of his love for Kelli, and his love for making everyone laugh. Lee would say “Do you know what La Quinta means in English?” Me: no. Lee: “Right next to a Denny’s.” Lol I have laughed about that for nearly 20 years when I see one. I am sad that Lee is not here, and I pray for comfort to Kelli, his girls, his family, and friends during this grief.
