Lena Bordes

Lena Bordes, 69, of LaBelle, died Thursday, August 24, 2017, at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas, Beaumont. She was born on July 27, 1948, in Galveston, to Violet Toloudis and Roy Paul Bordes, and had been a longtime resident of LaBelle. Lena was a member of the LaBelle-Fannett Volunteer Fire Department; Ladies Auxiliary; and St. Mary Catholic Church, Fannett. She was a kind, loving and giving person.

Lena is survived by her sister, Diana Allen and her husband, Johnny, of LaBelle; brothers, Ronald Bordes and his wife, Rachel, of Batson and Robert Bordes of LaBelle; and unofficial mother to, one niece; five nephews; and two great-nephews.

She is preceded in death by her brother, Roy Nathan Bordes.

A gathering of Mrs. Bordes’ family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with a Christian Vigil at 6:30 p.m., Monday, September 11, 2017, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. Her funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 12, 2017, at Broussard’s, with her interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.
