Lesley Broome Hansen

October 14, 1989 - December 31, 2019

Lesley Jayne Broome Hansen passed away Tuesday, December 31, 2019 in Lumberton.

She was born on October 14, 1989, in Sarasota, Florida, to Mark and Debbie Broome. Lesley was a member of the Lumberton High School class of 2008, but graduated early in 2007, then attended Blinn College and Lamar University. She loved to read, write, and listen to music, having a special love for both The Beatles and Nirvana. She was an avid lover of animals and couldn’t resist adopting multiple shelter dogs and cats. She recently relocated to Portland, Oregon, where she enjoyed hiking and spending time in nature.

Lesley is survived by her 11-year-old daughter and light of her life, Hallie Jayne Browning; parents, Mark and Debbie Broome; sisters, Julie Broome Gobert and husband, Eric and Laurie Broome Kerns and husband, Dusty; brother, Scott Broome; nephews Jack Gobert, Ben Gobert, and Isaac Adams; nieces, Clarabel Gobert and Lilah Kerns; as well as many other loving family and friends.

A funeral service for Ms. Hansen will be at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, January 5, 2020, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A graveside service will be at 11:00 a.m., Monday, January 6, 2020, at Rosedale Cemetery, Armstrong Road, Gladewater.

Memorial contributions may be made to The Humane Society of Southeast Texas, P.O. Box 1629, Beaumont, Texas 77704.
