Lester Parks
Lester Lee Parks, 85, of Silsbee, died Thursday, April 5, 2018. He was born on August 8, 1932, in Silsbee, to Maudie Fuqua Parks and Bernard Parks. Lester proudly served his country in the United States Army.
Survivors include his children, Barbara Odom and her husband, Travis, of Silsbee; grandchildren, Scott Wolcott and his wife, Penny, of Kountze and Craig Odom and his wife, Dawn, of Silsbee; numerous great-grandchildren; sisters, Anita Leonard of Thornton; and brothers, Charlie Parks of Kingwood, and Joe Parks and Sidney Parks both of Silsbee. He is preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Virginia Parks; brothers, Ruben Parks, Archie Parks, and Leon Parks; and sister, Billie Johnson.
A gathering of Lester’s family and friends will begin at 12:00 p.m., with his funeral service at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 7, 2018, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee. His interment will follow at Turner Branch Cemetery, Spurger.
