Lester Winger

Lester “Doc” Dee Winger, 63, of Silsbee, died Tuesday, December 26, 2017. He was born on July 12, 1954, in Silsbee, to Ruth Jones Winger and Lester Dock Winger.

Survivors include his wife, Yvonne Winger; children, Lester “Scooter” Winger and his wife, Amy, of Silsbee; Heidi Gossett and her husband, Tim, of Buna; Jimmy Luckie of Granbury; and Beth Blanchard and her husband, Blake, of Silsbee; grandchildren, Layne Winger, Carlie Winger, Chad Gossett, Dakota Gossett, Chanler Luckie, and Bryce Luckie; great-grandchildren, Hunter Gossett, Gavin Gossett, and Brantley Gossett; brothers, Kenneth Wayne Riedinger and his wife, Mary and Larry Winger and his wife, Shirley, all of Silsbee; sister, Brenda Leviness and her husband, Roger, of Silsbee; and stepsiblings, Barbara Hawthorne and her husband, Terry, of Houston; Earl Kirchhoff; and Merle Kirchhoff and his wife, Janice, all of Silsbee. He is preceded in death by his parents; and stepfather, Earl Kirchhoff.

A gathering of Mr. Winger’s family and friends will be 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, December 29, 2017, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee. His funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 30, 2017, at Broussard’s, with his interment to follow at Knupple Cemetery, Silsbee.
