Lillian Marie Clay
Lillian Marie Clay, 96, of Beaumont, died Saturday, October 14, 2017. She was born on April 28, 1921, to Lillian Walshberger Melvin and Harvey Benton Melvin, in Louisville, Kentucky, Lillian was an interior decorator, quilter, and seamstress.
Survivors include her children, Reverend Donna Brown and her husband, Reverend Terry, of Beaumont; David Clay and his wife, Debbie, of Emmence, Kentucky; and Andrew Clay of Belgrade, Montana; grandchildren, Katy Reeves and her husband, Mike, of Tyler; J. Blanton Lewis and his wife, Betty, of Waco; and Tanner Clay and Samantha Clay, both of Belgrade, Montana.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Ray Glur and Charles Clay; and brothers, June and Joe Melvin.
An informal memorial gathering for Mrs. Clay will be at 3:00 p.m., Friday, October 20, 2017, in the Parlor of Wesley United Methodist Church, 3810 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A family committal was held at Broussard’s Crematorium under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.
Memorial contributions may be made to Wesley United Methodist Church, 3810 North Major Drive, Beaumont, Texas 77713 it can be designated to “Stephen Ministry” at Wesley United Methodist Church.
