Linda Pool

April 11, 1947 - August 17, 2017

Linda Pool, 70, of Nederland, died Thursday, August 17, 2017. She was born on April 11, 1947, in Orange, to Myrtle Ruth Bishop Perkins and Grady Elmer Perkins.

Linda enjoyed camping, traveling, and attending her children’s and grandchildren’s sporting events. She worked as a bookkeeper for Allen LeBlanc for nine years. She went on to work for George Gondron, then Bill Maxey, finishing as an office manager for Kieschnick Industries. Linda will be remembered as a loving mother, daughter, and Maw Maw.

Survivors include her sons, Daryl Pool and his wife, Nita, of Manvel; Lance Pool and his wife, Stephanie, of New Braunfels; and Bruce Pool and his wife, Stacy, of Atascocita; mother, Myrtle Perkins of Nederland; grandchildren, Chrisha, Justin, Tanner, Meagan, Matthew, Kaylah, Madison, Lance, Jr., Lacen, Avery, and Zachary; great-grandchildren, Karson, Maci, Anzlie, Ellyette, and one great-grandchild on the way; and sister, Virginia Austin and her husband, Kerry, of Nederland.

She was preceded in death by her father, Grady Perkins.

Memorial Contributions for Ms. Pool may be made to Hillcrest Baptist Church, 3324 Park Drive, Nederland, Texas 77627.

A gathering of Ms. Pool’s family and friends will be from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Sunday, August 20, 2017, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. Her funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, August 21, 2017, at Broussard’s, with her interment to follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches.
