Lita Deets

June 11, 1926 - February 24, 2020

Lita LeJune Deets, 93, of Nome, died Monday, February 24, 2020, at Silsbee Oaks Health Care. She was born on June 11, 1926, in China, to Dora Mire and Euger LeJune.

She is survived by her children, Janice Guy and her husband, Arthur, of Silsbee; Sherry Martel and her husband, Tommy, of Nome; Lucille Wood and her husband, Rickey; Euger Deets; William Deets; and Beatrice Hendrix and her partner, Bubba Atkinson, all of Silsbee; twenty-four grandchildren; forty-nine great-grandchildren; thirteen great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Hazel Trahan and Jeannette Cicero, both of Beaumont; Shirley Bertrand and her husband, L.J., of Winnie; Kathryn Touchet, of Boerne; and Lulu Evans and her husband, Tom, of Houston.

Lita is preceded in death by her parents; son, John Deets; daughter, Annie O’Neal; and sisters, Wilda Whitehead, Azelie Martel and Barbara Schooley.

A gathering of Ms. Deets family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., with her Rosary recited at 6:00 p.m., Friday, February 28, 2020, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, February 29, 2020, at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 245 Highway 90 West, China. A family committal will be at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.
