Loary Norma Asta

Loary Norma Asta, 97, of Lumberton, died Saturday, September 5, 2020. She was born on June 20, 1923, in Daisetta, to Eleanor Cady and Enis Richard. 

Survivors include her children, Johnny Ray Asta; Kay Distefano and her husband, Fred; Sam Asta; Diania Santana and her husband, Mark; and Mary Conner and her husband, Richard; grandchildren, Erica Fichter and her husband, Kelly; Joel Distefano; Joshua Asta; Bradley Santana; Rodney Isaac Santana; Daniel Santana; Billy Conner and his wife, Katy; and Brittany Minzy and her husband, Mike; great-grandchildren, Lily Conner, Ryan Self, and Brielle Minzy; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Asta; parents; son, Rodney Asta; various brothers and sisters; and her second husband, Percy Hutto. 

Her Rosary will be recited at 5:00 p.m., with a gathering of family and friends to follow on Wednesday, September 9, 2020, at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, September 10, 2020, at Infant Jesus Catholic Church, 243 South LHS Drive, Lumberton, with her interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.
