Lola Alpers

October 25, 1927 - March 18, 2021

Lola Alpers, 93, of Kountze, passed away Thursday, March 18, 2021. She was born on October 25, 1927, in Kountze, to Eliza Clarence Davis and William Edgar Davis. Lola enjoyed fishing, hunting, working in her garden, cooking and crochet. She was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary in Village Mills.

Lola is survived by her son, Louis Alpers of Kountze; grandchildren, Katy Jones; Lizanna Leger and her husband, Rod; Thomas Jones Jr. and his wife, Sarah; John Alpers and his wife, Jennifer; great-grandchildren, Lola, Vitoria, Robert Jr., Brittany, Justin, Alan and D’Artagnan; and numerous great-great-grandchildren; brother, Jim Davis and his wife, Edith, of Cove; sisters, Cathalou Perew of Kountze and Thelma Thompson of Arp; and numerous nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband of fifty-three years, Tilmon Alpers; daughter, E’van Jones; great-grandson, Casey Jones; great-great-grandson, Rayden Jones; and brother, Wayne Davis. 

A graveside service for Mrs. Alpers will begin at 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 22, 2021, at Pine Ridge Cemetery, FM 421, Kountze, under the direction of Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee.
