Loraine Rumsey

Loraine Alice Rumsey, 94, of Beaumont, died Tuesday, November 5, 2019, at Pelican Bay, Beaumont. She was born in Saginaw, Michigan, on February 9, 1925, to Jenny and Ellis E. Van Conett.

Loraine is survived by her son, David Rumsey and his wife, Ruth; and daughter, Lauren Davis and her husband, Mack, both of Beaumont; grandchildren, Jennifer Rumsey; Daniel Rumsey and his wife, Juana; Michael Rumsey and his wife, Amanda; Jake Davis; Clayton Davis and his fiancé, Katrina Wright; and Katie Perez; great-grandchildren, Tyler Ohman, Kasey Ohman, Bryant Rumsey, Brody Rumsey, Bryce Mouton, Gavin Rumsey, Will Sloan, Raelee Sloan, Joseph Perez, and Chloe Perez.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Jenny and Al Van Conett; husband, David S. Rumsey; and son, Stephen Rumsey.

Loraine was the matriarch and simply loved her family. She loved interior decorating, loved to sail, and enjoyed gardening.

Private services for Mrs. Rumsey will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.
