Lounell Courts

Lounell Stutts Courts, 87, of Kountze, died Tuesday, January 9, 2018.  She was born on April 16, 1930, in Village Mills, to Lessie Walters Stutts and Stone Wall Stutts.

Survivors include her sons, William Courts and his wife, Anita; Roger Courts and his wife, Mary; and Phillip Courts and his wife, Elvia Ann, all of Kountze; seven grandchildren; three step grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and sisters, Elsie Mae Spell of Silsbee; Bobbie Rae Massingill and her husband, Eugene and Carolyn Williams, all of Honey Island.  She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, William Phillip Courts; son, Howard Courts.

A gathering of Mrs. Courts’ family and friends will be 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, January 12, 2018, at Broussard’s, 530 West Monroe, Kountze.  Her funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 13, 2018, at Broussard’s, with her interment to follow at Village Mills Cemetery, Village Mills.
