Luvon Boutwell

Luvon “Pete” Boutwell, 74, of Lumberton, died Friday, November 2, 2018. He was born in Fairhope, Alabama, on August 25, 1944, to Lemar and John R. Boutwell. Pete retired after his services of twenty years from BASF, as a pipefitter. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and loved watching NASCAR with his great friend, Ron Maddison. Pete loved spending time with his sons, grandkids, and great-grandkids. His dog, Bella, was his pride and joy and by his side at all times.

Survivors include his sons, Randy Boutwell and his wife, Amanda; Richard Boutwell and his wife, Charisse; and Robert Boutwell and his wife, Cindy, all of Lumberton; grandchildren, Kayla Boutwell; Kyle Boutwell; Brianna Albrecht and her husband, Joey; Jarrod Boutwell; Tiffany Ardoin and her husband, Malcom; and Kristina Dean and her husband, Kalan; great-grandchildren, Gatlin Albrecht, Riley Albrecht, Aubree Albrecht, Gavin Albrecht, Abigayle Ardoin, Alexis Ardoin, Ella O’Conner, Heidi Dean, and Kaylee Dean; and siblings, Mildred “Ray” Boutwell and Shirley “Sister” Kelley.

Pete is preceded in death by his wife of fifty years, Doris Boutwell; his parents, Lemar and John R. Boutwell; two brothers, Benny Boutwell and Buddy Boutwell; and five sisters, Celia Duggar, Cleo Smith, Minnie Lee Byrd, Mary Lou Richardson, and Etha Hall.

A gathering of Mr. Boutwell’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 6, 2018, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee. His funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 7, 2018, at Broussard’s, with his interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park, Vidor.
