Malcolm D. Shaw

February 9, 1987 - January 14, 2021

Malcolm Darington Shaw, 33, of LaBelle, Texas passed away suddenly at his home on Thursday, January 14, 2021. He was born February 9, 1987, in Dallas, Texas to Diann McDonald Davis and Timothy W. Shaw.

Malcolm was a 2005 graduate of West Brook High School in Beaumont, Texas and he served four years in the United States Navy aboard the USS Lincoln. He was employed by Flowserve Corporation as a production planner.

Malcolm was a sweet and loving man who was always there to help anyone in need. He was good natured and never met a stranger. He genuinely cared about everyone and never failed to say, “I love you”, when he hugged you goodbye. Malcolm enjoyed grilling and feeding his family and friends. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and fit right in with the Greer family. Malcolm also loved to fish. In fact, the only thing Malcolm loved more than fishing and the Dallas Cowboys was his wife, Shana. He was over-the-moon excited about becoming a father and starting a family. He will now be the perfect guardian angel.

Survivors include his beloved wife, Shana Shaw, and their unborn baby, of LaBelle; mother and step-father, Diann and Doug Davis, of Lumberton; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Donna and Marty Greer, of LaBelle; step-brother, Ryan Davis and fiancé, Alyssa, of Lumberton; brother-in-law, Shane Greer and wife, Ana, of Beaumont; grandmother, Dorothy Shaw, of Dallas; Shana’s grandmother, Alice Faye Greer, of LaBelle; nieces and nephews, Embry, Savannah, and Dakota Davis and Ethan Greer; his godchild, Avery Arceneaux; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who loved him dearly.

He is preceded in death by his father, Timothy Shaw; grandfather, Earl D. Shaw; and grandmother, Lotte McDonald.

A gathering of Malcolm’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, January 21, 2021, at Broussard’s 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. His funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, January 22, 2021, at Broussard’s, with Father John Hughes officiating. His interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Groves, Texas. Serving as pallbearers will be Shane Greer; Ryan Davis; Michael Trahan; Josh Singer; Robert Thornell; Brent Hebert; and Akram Monala-Khalil.
