Margie Nell Jones

Margie Nell Jones, 81, of Beaumont, died Friday, March 3, 2017, at College Street Health Care Center, Beaumont. She was born on December 12, 1935, to Marie Robertson Starling and Hale Starling, in Crockett.

Margie was funny, sassy, and quick with a comment! She was always wanting and ready to help anyone that she thought needed her help. Margie lived a colorful life and oh, the stories she could tell! She loved all her family and friends and talked about her grandchildren and great-grandchildren all the time. Margie was so proud of them. She also loved the nurses who helped her so much, and they were always ready to help Ms. Margie. Margie also loved to crochet and garden and was a great homemaker and cook. We know she is in a much better place, and we are happy for her. We love you and are going to miss you so much.

Survivors include her son, Rocky Cooley and his wife, Sally, of Nome; grandchildren, Jennifer Heath and her husband, Gary, of Chandler; and Ryan Cooley and Cody Cooley, both of Liberty City; great-grandchildren, Caleb Heath and Cade Heath; niece, Alta Johnson of Beaumont; and brother-in-law, Danny Clark of Beaumont.

A gathering of Mrs. Jones’ family and friends will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Monday, March 6, 2017, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. Her funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 7, 2017, at Broussard’s, with interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.
