Marian DuBose

April 12, 1931 - December 28, 2018

Marian Rita DuBose, 87, of Nederland, died Friday, December 28, 2018, at The Medical Center of Southeast Texas, Port Arthur. She was born April 12, 1931, in Morgan City, Louisiana, to Beatrice Breaux Concienne and Joseph Concienne, Sr.

She was an excellent cook and she enjoyed housekeeping, gardening, crossword puzzles, playing games, and her daily soap operas. She also loved dancing, especially during the Christmas and New Year’s holidays. Most of all, she was a wonderful mother that cherished the time she got to spend with her family.

Survivors include her children, Cynthia Delahoussaye of Conroe; Jesse DuBose, Jr. of Nederland; Timothy DuBose and his wife, Deborah, of Nederland; Michael DuBose and his wife, Marla, of Orangefield; Suzanne Giblin and her husband, Ronnie, of Port Neches; Dianne Landry and her husband, Jeff, of Port Neches; and Jerome DuBose and his wife, Karen, of Pflugerville; twenty-nine grandchildren; forty-six great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Anthony and Pat Concienne and Lynn Concienne and his wife, Cosette; sisters, Gloria Stark, Theresa Dickinson, Genell Austin, Mary Worthy, Comellia Woodard and her husband, Bill, Gayle Sheppard and her husband, Otis, and Judy Roger and her husband, James; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jesse DuBose, Sr.; sisters, Annabelle Babin and Beatrice DeLord; brother, Joseph Concienne, Jr.; and granddaughter, Sarah Giblin.

A gathering of Mrs. DuBose’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with a Rosary recited at 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 2, 2019, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, January 3, 2019, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 211 Hardy Avenue, Nederland, with her interment to follow at Memory Gardens of Jefferson County, Nederland.
