Marie A. Myers

Marie A. Myers, 92, of Nederland, died Friday, September 4, 2020, at Christus Southeast Texas – St. Elizabeth, Beaumont. She was born October 26, 1927, in Beaumont, to Lena Calloura Marino and Anthony Marino.

Marie loved and adored her husband, Solon, the love of her life for forty-nine years. She also loved to brag on her children and grandchildren. Marie was a wonderful homemaker. She enjoyed painting ceramics and selling Tupperware. She was also an excellent cook and enjoyed feeding anyone that came to visit. She was known for her delicious spaghetti and meatballs. Above all else, Marie loved the Lord and was not afraid to show it.

Survivors include her children, Linda Trotman and husband, Russell; Marilyn Allen and husband, Larry, all of Lumberton; Solon Myers III and wife, Belinda; and Rebecca Hillyer and husband, Garland, all of Nederland; grandchildren, Keri Gulley; Kelli McKee and husband, Mark; Aaron Allen and wife, Jamie; April Trahan and husband, Justin; Christopher Myers; and Christina Volk and husband, Luke; nine great-grandchildren; brother, Bud Marino and wife, Ruth, of Vidor; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Lena and Anthony Marino; husband, Solon Myers, Jr.; and sister, Laura O’Connor.

A gathering of Mrs. Myers family and friends will be from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 9, 2020, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. Her graveside service will be 3:30 p.m., Wednesday, September 9, 2020, at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches.
