Mary Ann Russell

Mary Ann Russell, 67, of Kountze, died on Sunday, October 7, 2018. She was born on November 21, 1950, in Port Arthur, to Theda Isabell Daniels Van Slyke and Earl Van Slyke.

Survivors include her husband, James E. Russell; children, David Earl Willey and his wife, Rose, of Mauriceville; William Robert Willey and his wife, Wynette, of Buna; James Gordon Russell and his wife, Jeniffer, of Buna; Geneva Pauline Russell of Buna; Mary Catherine Buffington and her husband, Billy, of Buna; and Anthony Ray Russell and his wife, Rebecca, of Kountze; sixteen grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; sisters, Linda Ann Scott of Buna; Diane O’Neal of Buna; and Barbara Russell of Buna; brother, Jimmy Earl Van Slyke and his wife, Yvonne, of Kountze; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Raymond Lee Van Slyke. 

A gathering of Mrs. Russell’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 10, 2018, at Broussard’s, 530 W. Monroe, Kountze. Her funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, October 11, 2018, at Broussard’s, with her interment to follow at William Hart cemetery, Kountze.
