Mary Brown Beard

Mary Brown Beard, 92, of Beaumont, died Monday, June 22, 2020. She was born on September 4, 1927, to Nancy Elizabeth Gilbert Brown and Dave Brown, in Stowell, Texas. 

Survivors include her children, Larry Avery and his wife, Debi, of Roanoke, Virginia; Robert Avery and his wife, Patt, of Zavalla, Texas; Michael Avery, of Kountze; Bonnie Mitchell, of Lumberton; Sam Boudreaux and his wife, Sweetie, of Jasper; David Boudreaux; Mary Jane Stanley, of Buna; and Dale Boudreaux and his wife, Dawn, of Slaughters, Kentucky; fifteen  grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren; sister, Jean Garcia, of Galveston; and brother, Bert Brown, of Colorado.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dave Brown and Elizabeth Gilbert Brown; husband Travis Beard; daughter, Pam Mariam; siblings, Wanda Stephens, Libby McIntyre, Brooks Brown, and Daisy Bissett; three grandchildren; Allison Avery, Emily Stanley Smith, and Mike Avery; daughter-in-law, Sue Dowden Avery; and son-in-law, Darnell Mitchell. 

A gathering of Mrs. Beard’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m, Sunday, June 28, 2020, at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont. Her funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, June 29, 2020, at Broussard’s, with her interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.
