Mary was a small woman with a big personality. Knowing her for years through our close friendship with Paula and Don has us remembering her as a sweet woman who took "nothin' off of nobody." She will be missed by all who knew her.

Mary was a fine and caring woman. She always 'glowed' with that knowledge that God had given her many talents and she was going to use them to the best of her abilities. In 1968 she tackled a very involved musical piece and played accompanimrnt to my feeble attempts at the state solo competition. Her efforts were outstanding and I credit any good reviews I got that day to her deft fingers on the keyboard. Carl, Paula, Claudia and all the grands and great grands, I pray for God to comfort your hearts for I know that all shall be together again. I'll see you when I get there Mary.

I will miss the interactions I had with your dear mother and her sweet smile at Silsbee Oaks. My deepest condolences to Mary’s family and prayers for you as you deal with the physical parting needed for her homecoming in Heaven.

Mary and my mother Ruby Stevenson were close friends at Highland Ave. Baptist Church. Mary played organ for my wedding in 1967. She was a wonderful woman and an example of goodness toward everyone. Sending my deepest sympathy.
