Mary Jane Trotman

Mary Jane “Janie” Elizabeth Trotman, 95, went to be with the Lord on October 20, 2019. Janie was born on October 17, 1924, in Cheek, Texas, to Vinton Clyde Hall and Davida Sommerville Craig Hall. She was a resident of Beaumont and longtime member of Rosedale Baptist Church. Janie and Carl were married one week after her 18th birthday. She was a devoted and beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She is survived by her husband of seventy-seven years, Carl Trotman of Beaumont; her son, Russell Trotman and wife, Linda, of Lumberton; her daughter, Kathy Callaway and husband, Ronnie, of Beaumont; her granddaughters, Keri Gulley of Lumberton and Kelli McKee and husband, Mark, of Beaumont; great-grandchildren, Gracie, Kendal and Rafe Gulley and Zach, Brooklyn and Adelyn McKee; her nieces, Betty Elliott, Orvalee Husband, and Ann Vick; and her nephews, L.V., Craig and David Hall.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Lester, Harold and Orville Hall; her sisters, Violet Padden and Alta Cook Wolf; and her niece, Jane Mason.

A gathering of Mrs. Trotman’s family and friends will begin at 1:00 p.m., with her funeral service at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 23, 2019, at Rosedale Baptist Church, 7110 Concord Road, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. Her interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont, with Russell Trotman, Ronnie Callaway, Mark McKee, and Zach McKee, serving as pallbearers.
