Mary Lopez
Mary Lopez, 78, of Liberty, was born on January 6, 1941, in Lufkin, Texas, the daughter of the late Farah D. (Higgins) and William “Thomas” Baty. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her husband of fifty-eight years and her three children, on Tuesday, November 19, 2019, at her home.
Mrs. Lopez was a loving wife, mother, and “Gramma”, daughter and sister. She loved the outdoors, cooking and canning, reading and spending time with her family, especially her five grandchildren. Mrs. Lopez attended Central Baptist Church in Liberty.
She is survived by her husband, Jesse Lopez, of Liberty; daughter, Belynda Lopez Guess; sons, Jesse Dewayne Lopez and David Michael Lopez; grandchildren, Barry and Sarah Lopez, Mary Lauren, Nathan, and Katherine Guess; sisters, Crystal Calder, Wonda Massey, Jean Bennett, Doris Siegert, and Joyce Watson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Wayne and Pete Baty.
A graveside service for Mrs. Lopez will be at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, November 21, 2019, at Magnolia Cemetery, Beaumont.
