Johnnie Maurice Bigham
Johnnie Maurice Bigham, 84, of Wildwood, died Wednesday, March 24, 2021. He was born on January 28, 1937, in Amherst, to Clare Geneva Harvey Bigham and John Franklin Bigham.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy Bigham; children, Jack Caviness of Levelland; Melissa Northcutt and her husband, Doug, of Georgetown; Treg Bigham and his wife, Renee’, of San Angelo; and Keetha Gresham and her husband, Mike, of Levelland; grandchildren, Keelee Burkholder and her husband, Ben, of Lubbock; Heath Gresham and his wife, Sara, of Levelland; Hank Northcutt and his wife, Jamie, of Houston; Davis Northcutt of Tyler; Cody Caviness of Levelland; Kyle Caviness of Lubbock; and Heather Latzel and her husband, Derek, of Levelland; and great-grandchildren, Londyn and Gray Burkholder, Landry and Luke Gresham, and Gage Bigham. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Norman Bigham and sister, Lavoe Peeler.
Mr. Bigham’s memorial service will be held at a later date at the family ranch in Mason, Texas. His committal was held at Broussard’s Crematorium, under the direction of Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Caring is Sharing, 308 South Beaver Street, Woodville, Texas 75979.

What a joy after not seeing Maurice since Levelland High School in the 1950's to get reaquainted at Golden Fifties gatherings, to learn of our mutual love of Mason County where our familoy has a little cottage, and to see and hear him play his exquisitely crafted flutes. We send sympathy to his family but know heaven's music will be more beautiful with the addition of Maurice's talents.

Nancy and family, I am an old Levelland High School classmate of Maurice's so I knew him from elementary school through our graduation in 1955 from LHS.. He always attended our reunions and often played his Indian flute for us. He grew dearer to me each time I saw him, always smiling and full of good humor and grace. I was saddened and shocked to read of Maurice's death as he seemed so full of life when we met last in 2019. I send you and all of the family my deepest condolence at the loss of this fine man.
