Myrtle Poland
Myrtle Gaudet Poland, 89, of Winnie, died May 4, 2018. She was a longtime resident of the Winnie area, having lived and worked as a beautician in Liberty. She was born September 13, 1928, in Vinton, Louisiana, to Vera Chargois Pellerin and Thomas Gaudet.
Myrtle loved to cook and was always ready to go fishing. She enjoyed bingo and spending time with her family, especially her great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her sons, David O’Quinn and his wife, Lisa, of Meeker and Gordon O’Quinn, of Willard, Missouri; sister, Linda Tuohy, of Nederland; brother, Charles Pellerin, of New Iberia, Louisiana; grandchildren, John; Jennifer; Jeremy and his wife, Leighann; and Shannon and her husband, Ed Meaux; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Myrtle is preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Johnny Gaudet, Jerry Gaudet, George Gaudet and Irvin Gaudet.
