Nelda Joyce Ayala

Nelda Joyce Ayala, 72, of Stowell, died Saturday, December 26, 2020, at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas, Beaumont. She was born on December 19, 1948, in Anahuac, to Hazel Smith and Claude Revia.

Nelda is survived by her husband, José “Alex” Ayala, of Stowell; sons, José “Shorty” Ayala, of Stowell and James Revia, of High Island; grandchildren, Canyon Revia, Tynner Revia, James “Little” Revia, and Lilah Revia; niece, Janice Gonzalez, of Sour Lake; great-niece, Antonia Revia-Santiago and her husband, Martin, of Beaumont; great-nephew, Willy Gonzalez and his wife, Lori, of Sour Lake; brother, Junior Revia and his wife, Cheryl, of High Island and Joe Revia, of Anahuac; numerous adopted children; other family members; nieces; nephews; and great-nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Hazel and Claude Revia; and sisters, Barbara Monceaux, Ruby Jean Hamilton, and Mary Revia.

A gathering of Mrs. Ayala’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, December 31, 2020, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. Her graveside service will be 1:00 p.m., Friday, January 1, 2021, at High Island Cemetery, High Island.

I stayed with her for 5 month up until she passed taking care and helping her around to and from the doctor but before she got in the the ambulance I never got to say goodbye to her. I love you maw
