Patricia A. White

December 24, 1959 - August 23, 2020

Patricia A. White, age 60, passed away on August 23, 2020, after a long and difficult journey with cancer.

Patricia Ann Carter was born to Fred and Trudy on December 24, 1959, (the perfect Christmas present). She graduated from BCP High in 1978, and married her sweetheart, Lynn, the following year. Patricia, better known as Pat, was a stay-at-home mom to two beautiful daughters, Holly and Angela, for many years. Pat took care of Lynn during his journey with cancer, all while making sure their girls went about their normal routines. She was involved in the girls’ school and activities, including volunteering at St. Anne.

Once the girls were older, Pat went back to school at Lamar University to pursue a degree in education. She then taught school in Jasper and Orange before finding her teaching home at St. Anne Catholic School where she taught for 11 years. She loved teaching and had such a passion for science and religion. A devout Catholic, Pat was enthusiastically involved in her church over the years. Early on, she served many years as a Sunday school teacher, and later as Director of Religious Education at Our Lady of LaSalette in Kirbyville. Once they moved to Beaumont around 2005, Pat served as a Eucharistic Minister at St. Anne.

Pat is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, Jesse Lynn White, Jr.; her daughters, Holly Aber and husband, Joel, of Chesapeake Virginia; and Angela White of Northern Virginia, and her greatest blessings, her grandchildren: Logan, Kaleb, and Gracelyn Aber (she loved spoiling her grandsons, and Gracelyn was her little ray of sunshine). She is also survived by her parents, Fred Carter and Trudy Hynes of Beaumont; sister, Pam Holmes and husband, Joe, of Katy; brother, Jeff Carter and wife, Kandie, of Lumberton; and mother-in-law, Sandra White of Lumberton; sisters-in-law, Mary Beth Strickland and husband, Larry and Sharon Huff and husband, George. Pat is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and several great-nieces/ nephews.

Lynn, Holly, and Angela would like to thank everyone who has supported their family on this difficult journey with transportation, meals, and so much more: their loving family, their St. Anne church family, the many friends and neighbors that visited and offered support and love, the staff at MD Anderson, and the amazing staff at Harbor Hospice, especially Lori and Courtney.

A Rosary for Mrs. White will be recited at 5:00 p.m., with a gathering of her family and friends to follow until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 2, 2020, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m., Thursday, September 3, 2020, at St. Anne Catholic Church, 2715 Calder Avenue, Beaumont. Her interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Anne Catholic School, 375 North 11th Street, Beaumont, Texas 77702.

Pat was a very lovely lady and I enjoyed serving at 9:00 Mass with her . She loved her chocolate and always enjoyed when I brought her fudge. May God bless her family at this sad time.

Ross D’Entremont

One of my favorite teachers, Mrs. White taught with humor and love. Will miss her dearly!

God be with her family. I just know that Pat was carried to heaven in the arms of the angels. She was a beautiful woman both inside and out. As assistant principal at St. Anne for a short time, she is the teacher who touched my heart. I think of two words for her, purity and passion (for her students, her faith and her job). ❤️

Pat was one of the first moms i met when our kids started school at St. Anne's. Many years of carpooling, hanging out together with the kids as they grew, and having long conversations, memories of such a dear sweet friend brings a smile and a year. We will miss her very much, but there is comfort knowing she is free from pain, and resting in the Father's Love! Prayers for your family. And Pat, say a little prayer to Jesus for us!

I taught with Pat at St. Anne, and I always enjoyed our chats. She was a smart, funny lady. Also, she was definitely one of my daughter, Carrie's, favorite teachers. Carrie had her for science and religion.
