Patricia Ann BURGESS

November 26, 1942 - June 20, 2017

Patricia Ann Burgess, 74, of Beaumont, passed away Tuesday, June 20, 2017, at The Gardens-Altus Hospice, Beaumont. She was born on November 26, 1942, in New Albani, Indiana, to Marion and Clarence Sturgeon, and has been a resident of Beaumont since 1971. Pat raised and supported three children, working in the retail industry for many years.

Pat enjoyed going to church, spending time with her husband and family, photography, and bird watching.

Survivors include her daughters, Pam Merriman and her husband, Shane, of Nederland; Natalie LaVigne and her husband, Mike, of Beeville; and Nancy McFaddin and her husband, Andrew, of Bay City; stepsons, Bryan Burgess and his wife, Rebecca, of Rowlett; Kirby Burgess of Garland; and Todd Burgess and his wife, Deborah, of Kennard; grandchildren, Amanda Marie, Marion Seabring, Paul Casey, Neil Alan, Alex James, Renee Kathrin, Kaley Ann, Zachary James, Andrew Thomas, Natalee Ruth, JuAune Nicole, Zachary Shane, Tristan Blaine, and Ethan Todd; and great-grandchildren, Connor Blane and Miranda Marie.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Smiley Burgess.

A gathering of Mrs. Burgess’ family and friends will begin at 4:00 p.m., with her funeral service to follow at 5:00 p.m., Friday June 23, 2017, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A family graveside service will be held at Houston National Cemetery on Tuesday, June 27, 2017.
