Patricio Victores

March 17, 1933 - September 16, 2018

Patricio Ruben Victores, 85, of Beaumont, Texas and Miami, Florida, died on Sunday, September 16, 2018, at Christus Hospital- St. Elizabeth in Beaumont, Texas. He was born on March 17, 1933, to Concepcion Rodriguez Victores and Antonio Victores in Pinar del Rio, Cuba.

Patricio graduated from the Carlos J. Finlay Vaccine and Serum Institute located in Havana, Cuba, as a medical technologist. He served as an Officer in the Cuban Navy, and worked for the Carlos J. Finlay Military Hospital prior to emigrating to the United States. After emigrating to the United States, Patricio worked as a medical technologist for over twenty-five years at the Calvary Hospital in New York City. He subsequently retired to Miami, Florida and recently relocated to Beaumont, Texas in order to be closer to his son and family.

Patricio enjoyed gardening, carpentry, dogs, travel, baseball, reading and science. He is survived by his son, Dr. Ruben Dario Victores, and his wife, Mindy, of Beaumont, Texas; his grandchildren, Laura Victores Wyman and her husband Jonathan, and their children, Carina and Nathan Wyman, of Katy, Texas; Dr. Andrew J. Victores, and his wife, Margaret, of Beaumont, Texas; Nina F. Victores, of Las Vegas, Nevada; and, his sisters, Dr. Lilia Victores Pernas, of Miami, Florida, and Idalia Victores Pernas and her husband, Iliodoro Pernas, of Havana, Cuba.

Patricio is preceded in death by his wife, Felicia Torres Victores; his son, Patricio Victores; and, his brother, Ricardo Victores.

A family committal was held at Broussard’s Crematorium under the direction of Broussard’s Mortuary, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont, Texas. A family service will be held at Caballero Rivero Woodlawn Park Cemetery South in Miami, Florida, on October 13, 2018.
