Pauline Danna

October 15, 1928 - May 11, 2018

Pauline “Polly” Danna, 89, of Beaumont, died Friday, May 11, 2018, at Christus Hospital-St. Elizabeth, Beaumont. She was born on October 15, 1928, to Lorena Sanders Toups and Paul Toups, in Jasper. Pauline attended Lamar State College of Technology and completed her courses in accounting and bookkeeping. She then went on the work at Beaumont Iron Works. Pauline was affiliated with St. Anne Parish and was a volunteer with the St. Anne religious staff. She was a very unselfish caregiver to others especially those in need and was a matriarch to the family.

Survivors include her daughter, Paula Rizzo of Poughkeepsie, New York; sons, Joseph Danna, Greg Danna, and Michael Danna, all of Beaumont, and Phillip Danna of Houston; grandchildren, Rita Danna; David Danna; Gina Danna; Audrey Danna Bersterman and her husband, Donny; Linda Lee and her husband, Doug; Andrew Danna and his wife, Erica; Erran Newberry; Teresa Larcade and her husband, Daniel; Lisa Danna; Philip Rizzo, Jr.; Lauren Rizzo; and Emily Rizzo; and eighteen great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; former husband, Joseph Danna; son, Chris Danna; sisters, Thelma Adkins, Eunice McGhin, and Katie Laurent; brother, Milton Toups; grandchild, Marce Evans; and grandparents, Pink and Laura Sanford.

A gathering of Ms. Danna’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., with a Rosary recited at 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, May 16, 2018, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, May 17, 2018, at St. Anne Catholic Church, 2715 Calder Avenue, Beaumont. Interment will follow at Magnolia Cemetery, Beaumont.
