Peggy Lou Pickard

January 24, 1932 - July 23, 2021

Peggy Lou Pickard, 89, of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee, formerly of Nederland, Texas, passed away Friday, July 23, 2021, at Maury Regional Medical Center, Columbia, Tennessee. She was born January 24, 1932, to Oren and Stella Gower Beck.

Peggy was a native of Lawrence County, Tennessee. She was a homemaker and member of West Groves Church of Christ, Groves, Texas. Peggy enjoyed drinking coffee and visiting with her friends. She will be remembered for her cooking and most of all, her love for her family.

Survivors include her son, Don Pickard, of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee; daughter, Brenda Williams and husband, Byron, of Vidor, Texas; grandchildren, Kristen; Amy; Meghan; and Donny; seven great-grandchildren; sisters, Edith Joiner, of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee; Erma Carrel, of Summertown, Tennessee; Carrol Brewer, of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee; and Betty Sue Addington, of Nashville, Tennessee; brothers, Virgil Beck, of Ethridge, Tennessee and Buddy Beck, of Leoma, Tennessee; and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband of sixty-four years, Horace Pickard; and brothers, Mack Beck and James Beck.

A gathering of Mrs. Pickard’s family and friends will begin at 10:00 a.m., with her funeral service at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 29, 2021, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. Her interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches.
